Normal Approximations

In the following series of articles we shall explore normal approximations. We shall explore continuity correction, approximating a binomial distribution by a normal distribution, approximating a poisson distribution by a normal distribution, and choosing the appropriate approximation. By the end you should be able to know when to apply a continuity correction, know how to approximate a binomial distribution and how to approximate a poisson distribution with a normal distribution.
