Mode
The average mode is the value within a set of data or probability distribution which occurs most frequently.
Finding the mode
Here is an example of collected data that we can use to find the mode;
The value which occurs most frequently than any other in this set of data is 6 as shown below. We can see that the value 6 appears twice while other values appear only once.
The term is derived from the French ‘a la mode’ which means fashionable.
