Range
In statistics, Range refers to the length/how wide the data is. The range average is calculated by subtracting the smallest number within the data from the biggest number.
Finding the Range
For example, here is the data which was collected. Luckily our data is already listed in order so it’s very easy to identify which is the highest/biggest and which one is the lowest/smallest number.
In the above data we can see that the smallest number is 15. So we have to find the difference between these numbers and that will be our range value.
The range for the above data is 13.
