Regular Polygons

In this chapter we shall be exploring regular polygons. A regular polygon is a shape where all the sides and angles are the same. A regular polygon can have many sides but they all have to be equal in sizes. Below we shall be exploring some of the common or popular regular polygons.

Equilateral triangle

An equilateral triangle has 3 sides and 3 lines of symmetry.

Square

A square is a regular polygon with 4 sides and 4 lines of symmetry.

Regular Pentagon

A regular pentagon has 5 sides and 5 lines of symmetry.

Regular hexagon

A regular hexagon has 6 sides and 6 lines of symmetry.

Regular Heptagon

A regular heptagon has 7 sides and 7 lines of symmetry.

Regular Octagon

A regular octagon has 8 sides and 8 lines of symmetry.
